Production Technology

Design Challenge
The challenge was merging luxury with sustainability while retrofitting an older structure. Balancing architectural integrity with green technologies required innovative solutions to meet stringent Leed standards and modernize without compromising environmental goals.
Project Duration
Τhis sustainable and smart project will be completed in May 2025. It is set to become one of Greece’s first Leed Gold-certified residence. It promotes urban cooling, biodiversity, and enhanced green space, combining cutting-edge design with environmental stewardship.
Operation Flow
The V House embraces smart, energy efficient living. Automated systems adjust temperature, lighting, and energy use to optimize comfort and reduce consumption. Natural light floods the home, while sustainable materials and green technologies ensure a minimal environmental footprint, providing luxury with a focus on sustainability.
Research
This project explores retrofitting an existing property into a Leed Gold certified, net-zero energy smart home. Through audits, energy tests, and Leed guidelines, the design team enhanced insulation and integrated efficient systems, setting a new benchmark for eco friendly luxury living.
Inspiration
The V House, or alternatively Boomerang, was driven by the goal of integrating sustainability with modern luxury, transforming an existing structure into an energy-efficient, environmentally responsible residence. Inspired by LEED principles, it balances cutting-edge architecture, green design, and nature to redefine luxury living while minimizing environmental impact.
