Production Technology

This design has a total of 20 processing steps, with nanometer level accuracy of effect. After careful polishing and technical color mixing, the result is ideal. Sun and moon rotation light change technology is to apply photochromic and luminescent to the back cover of the phone at the same time. It realizes the color change in three different environments: outdoor, indoor and night, reflecting the emotional linkage between smartphones and people.

Design Challenge

Dozens of pigments were screened for the best color change effect.In order to ensure that the photochromic ink and luminescent ink can maintain a balance, the ratio of the ink is repeatedly adjusted.It also overcomes the problems of short light change time, too fast change time and slow dissipation time.Ensure that the light change can quickly respond to the effect of rapid color change and rapid disappearance, while not affecting the effect of light at night.

Project Duration

The project starts in June 2022 in Shenzhen, China, and is completed in October 2022.

Operation Flow

The back cover of the phone shows HOT graphics from top to bottom when illuminated by daylight. And in the dark, it shows the opposite character effect. In different scenarios, the graphics are different from different angles. Play with the cell phone trendy products, enjoy the frontier of fashion.

Research

This design research breaks through the single dimension and realizes a new presentation in the dark and day from multidimensional. The color changes between fingers, it can guide the direction in the dark night and jump in the sunlight, bringing consumers more surprises.
