A chair designed with scallops as the inspiration. The overall shape is simple. The material is made of stainless steel plate and imitation copper. The back is perforated to make the chair more breathable and reduce some weight. The legs of the chair extend upward and are connected with the very armrests. Its bending radian fits the overall radian of the chair to the greatest extent on the basis of ensuring its load-bearing capacity. The overall shape is elegant. It is suitable for various spaces.

Unique Properties
"Scallop Chair" overall inspired from the scallop with flexible shape. The arc chair surface and backrest made of stainless steel plate and the chair legs made of stainless steel wire are completed by welding process. The surface treatment adopts copper imitation corrosion process. When used, it is matched with leather armrest and cushion. It is comfortable to use, novel structure and more elegant.

Production Technology
The furniture is mainly made of stainless steel plate and wire rod, matched with leather handrail and cushion. The metal part is treated with stainless steel corrosion. The stainless steel plate adopts stamping or bending process, the stainless steel wire rod adopts hot bending process, the back hole reduces the weight of the furniture, and the supporting leg structure is connected with the handrail by welding process, Ensure the support strength of furniture.
Design Challenge
In terms of retaining the overall shape of the shell, the curve radian more in line with the human body is designed to make the leg support more reasonable and beautiful into the overall shape, and minimize the weight of the furniture on the basis of retaining the large-area metal design.
Project Duration
The design had started in Shenyang in March 2021, completed in Shenyang in June 2021, and displayed in the museum of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in Shenyang in June in 2021.
Operation Flow
The leisure seat is suitable for reading, drinking tea and other leisure activities, and can also be used for office. The radian of the seat surface fits the human body, the back is breathable, and the overall shape is light. It is suitable for a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces. It has strong weather resistance, stable color, no conflict with the environment, simple shape, and can be well integrated into various environmental styles.
Research
The chair body is inspired by the scallop with flexible shape. The arc chair surface and backrest made of stainless steel plate and the chair legs made of stainless steel wire are completed by welding process. The structure is innovated with the simplest appearance. The whole is completed by welding process. The surface treatment adopts imitation copper corrosion process to make the whole more elegant, Like a shell, it emits glittering and translucent luster in the mottled.
Inspiration
The inspiration comes from the stretched scallop, which is also the origin of the name of the chair. The seat surface and back are slightly bent to fit the human body. The bending of the legs also conforms to the fluidity of marine organisms and produces a beautiful shape when the support strength allows. At the same time, with stainless steel as the main production material, the use environment is broader.
Project Overview
Scallop Leisure Chair has been a Iron winner in the Furniture Design award category in the year 2021 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition.
